Default Mobil 1 Walmart Issue. L.I.'s Help

I used to buy Mobil 1 15w-50, 5qt containers at various Walmarts on L.I. in Nassau. Ive been to two locations lately and both did have that weight in stock. I called Walmart customer service and they told me it is in revue and they may be phasing that weigh out of their inventory which would suck. Local auto stores charge $10/qt when you can purchase 5 qts for $25-$28 at Walmart. Anyone have any suggestions where to purchase the 5 qt 15W-50's on L.I. without getting ripped off?

My only reasonably priced source at the moment is the local Farm and Fleet that places all their Mobil 1 weights on sale occasionally at $33/case. $5.50/quart.

That's a good deal. I just paid O'Riellys 8.6x a qt for 9 qts of 15-50 mobil one. Wanted to chage it before Destin.

$5.50/qt is in line for what Walmart charges for the 5qt container.

Walmart has been phasing out the 15-50 since Spring last year. It just depends on where you are located and which Walmart warehouse stocks your store.

Default mobil 1

not sure if you have Meijer stores where you are at, but they usually still have it and "sale" for $25 for 5qt jug.

I used to run that oil but got tired of chasing it down (our Walmarts were hit or miss at best). A mechanic buddy who is ANAL about his boat had been swearing by NAPA "racing" straight 40wt for several years. Since I changed oil every 25 hours and an oil change was 22 quarts (11 x 2 motors) I started using it without issue. Ran it for 3 years until the boat sold last year. Best part...I was buying it last year for $2.29/qt.

Now its $39.99 and I have no use for the filter. So for 15 qts I would be paying $120.00 where I could be 3-5qt containers at Walmart for around $85.00
