Never claimed to know much about them. I know they are expensive and you are more then likely not going to get 100 hours out of any pushrod motor making that kind of power.

I was making a joke in reference to top fuel motors that get rebuilt after every run of 1/4 mile.

Your just about right on that 90 seconds,the 822ci chevy hemi we ran last year in Mountain Motor Prostock needed freshened up every 15-18 hits.

Freshen ups are 15k

As others have stated, Sonny has been building Marine engines for yrs. In fact the heads on the Merc 1075 are a Sonny design built by Brodix.

Bad ass engines for sure. But any marine engine at a 2:1 horsepower to CI ratio will need to be freshened often IMO.

Nice to bench dream about putting one of his great engine packages in a boat. The reality obviously being cost and how to find a drive system to accept it tend to wake most of us out of our dream state very quickly!
Its great fun and educational to see other individuals and companies great achievements!
