Hydro 5 To Bravo I Rpm Diff!
Just got done doing some back to back testing from a Bravo I 4 Blade to a Hydromotive 5 Blade. The rpm difference from pitch to same pitch is approx 500. The 5 blade will turn less rpm then the Bravo I. The slip factor in the boat decreased dramaticly when the 5 blade was run after the Bravo I. So if you are turning a 32 P Bravo I at your recommended RPM you need to run a 29 P Hydro 5 blade approx. Every setup will vary slightly in RPM and PITCH.

Here is all the info I have:
37 Active Thunder
Twin 675 KE SBS
outer37, You should think about trying a set of 30 or 29 Hydro 5 if you are running 32 Bravo I at your recommended RPM.
Philip&Bigwavz,as soon as I get the authority to release more info I will.

Single cat results/
Mike,
If and when you ever get some results on a high x single cat please post it. I may have the opportunity to "borrow" a 28" hydro 5 in a month or so. running a labbed 30 now with 10.5% slip (best conditions not duplicated every day)
Thanks,
Cat

We tried the 31p 5 blades, could only turn them 4500 rpm's at 88 mph. It is looking like we need some 28p 5 blades. These are KE 675's, bravo xr's with 1:36 gears, slip was about 9.5. The boat did really like the 5 blade props though.

Thanks!
Great info! Keep it coming on the Hydro 5's.
I think they may be the ticket for the high X on my cat and they sure would make a nice Xmas present when the time comes!
