And I dont care if that Sonic did 300mph....its a Sonic. |

I'll post some pics when I get into the office tomorrow. The owner would have upped the number but he unfortunately had to head home to tend to hurricance clean up back on Long Island. The handling of this hull at 120,130,140,150,160,170+ is incredible!

Damn TRL, real classy. I have some buddies that have some real nice Sonics. Sonic made a real nice boat. |
Congrats To The Outerlimits Crew, 140 In A Mile Is Fast. But Facts Are Facts Until Someone Breaks 177 Mph. The Kilo Boat Went 184 In Testing After The Kilo Run With Only 1500 Hp Sterling's. The New 43 Real Fast Powerboat With The New Merc 1350s Turned Up Will Be The First 200 Mph Vee Bottom.

Geez...congrats to the OL team they ran STRONG! this weekend; and Eddies boat is bad azz; a 1 mile speed run is what it is...not the end all for sure; heck there was a pontoon boat that posted 107 - but I sure wouldn't want to run that offshore...and for those who haven't tried it; 1 mile happens in a hurry.
|
Were Very Busy, I Have No Doubt In My Mind That The Outerlimits Is Capable Of Running That Fast. Hell I Would Love To Run It With Mike.

On the last run, I was at 134 and pulling good when it got out of shape and I had to lift. Went all the way down to 105 to get it to settle down, then back in the gas up to 126. You can't hold it over 130 for long. The slightest little thing will upset it and you CAN"T drive through it. It will just get worse until you slow down. It's really good up to 130, but then, it's who knows. We just had a rough weekend. Whatever could have went wrong did. I'm not making any excuses and certainly not taking anything away from Dennis and Jason Parvey. They ran their a$$ off and deserve it. They were better than us this weekend. I ran quite a bit faster than recorded but that's all part of it. I don't have any regrets. We had a blast and we will be back. Again, congrats to Dennis and Jason. Eddie Looking forward to seeing Bruce's new boat next year. Talk to you soon. |

Eddie Now thats a class. Something that seems to be missing from the kindergarten king of the hill,my huffy's better than your schwinn crowd. It doesn't matter if its a 16' bayliner or a turbine powered mystic... If your boat puts a smile on your face, you win. |

I know a SV with 1200's runs 139/140 mph according to the radar at LOTO. Still the fastest V at the shootout and that is what matters most. King of V's at LOTO. Now that is what is worth talking about. |
126
hey eddie it's funny how that 126 stuck with you all weekend from breakfast saturday. bruce must of known something we didn't. glad you all had a good time and everything is well. i cant wait to see who ends up with that boat .

TRL505,
Do yourself a favor and stop posting the trash talk (with people you dont even know), you're not coming off well... And this has nothing to do with brands. ;) |

Billy Betz in his Outerlimits SV 43 is the fastest vee bottom as of now at LOTO with a 140mph pass. The boat is a full canopied boat with 1075s and number 6's! The boat will run past 140 given more room to stretch her legs!!
A new v bottom record for the shootout...Congrats. |

Congrats to Betz and his nasty OL. 140 in a standing mile with a full interior (sorry car reference) is freakin sweet. And props to young's for running a solid pass and being real classy even when they lost!

Congrats to the success of the Outerlimits SV 43 at LOTO. I had a chance to watch this boat run on the course and what a showcase at the dock!. I am sure with a longer stretch it would pick up some addtional MPH. When I had the 1075 package in our open canopy 42 fountain poker run, it was tested in Powerboat at 144-146. Then when we converted to a full canopy Pleasure-Race Boat ( stereo/AC and 4 seats), it would top `150+, but the best we could do in a mile at LOTO was 139. Then in the fall of 2010, we changed the Merc Motors out to the new 1200, preparing for KW, the testing speeds were improved again. It was aquired, before KW, and has a new home in Trinidad, on the OS racing circuit The 2011 LOTO was a wonderful event, and the performance of this OL-43 was outstanding. It will soon be time to start snowmobiling Doc J Denver |

Thanks for the kind words Doc! You had a great running Fountain! It's tough to beat Mike or Reggie when it comes to vee bottoms. The speeds are very similar between our 43 and your old 42. Running a vee fast, as you said, takes alot of skill compared to a cat at similar speeds.
When you are done with your boating season, come visit us for snowmoblining this winter www.saratogaresortandspa.com at 32 degrees water to freedom,,,,, cheers |

Doc J Denver I'm used to following the APBA/UIM Kilo records which gives you a flying kilometer w/the sticks pinned and piddling w/buttons to get everything right before you enter the measured kilo. What all of you guys did/do is way impressive! To be within 10 MPH's of WFO after a mile is damned impressive. I always wondered what was left. Now we know the answer is not much. Again congrats to all! Gary |

Heck I'll still go boating if its above 30 degrees!!:D We usually boat up until the end of October up here and even in November if its warm enough and test year round. Never been a huge winter sports guy but your place looks sweet!! You going to run the SVL down in Key West?
We have to pick up the pieces after LOTO week: * In the global warmer boat we lost a motor on Thursday, * Had some issues with the 1200 Merc fuel pumps in the 47 * We put up a bigger triple digit number with the SVL, than our 47 ( a pair of 1200) this past weekend. * The most reliable was the Center C with triple verado package |

Again, it's just a question from an average boater who like many can only dream to own such a powerboat. All the best! |
