Not only the fastest at the event but they now own the record beating Dr Janssens 139 posted last year.

A new v bottom record for the shootout...Congrats.

Now thats a class. Something that seems to be missing from the kindergarten king of the hill,my huffy's better than your schwinn crowd. It doesn't matter if its a 16' bayliner or a turbine powered mystic... If your boat puts a smile on your face, you win.

For this course correct? I believe we have the record on the old course in a 42gtx at 140 something.

Congrats to Betz and his nasty OL. 140 in a standing mile with a full interior (sorry car reference) is freakin sweet. And props to young's for running a solid pass and being real classy even when they lost!

Was there a 29ft class?

There are classes in ranges down to 21'. Go to http://www.lakeoftheozarksshootout.org and I believe they should be listed on there.

It takes alot of talent to navigate a V Bottom >135, I have alot of respenct to the OL team this weeked.
Congrats to the success of the Outerlimits SV 43 at LOTO. I had a chance to watch this boat run on the course and what a showcase at the dock!. I am sure with a longer stretch it would pick up some addtional MPH.

When I had the 1075 package in our open canopy 42 fountain poker run, it was tested in Powerboat at 144-146. Then when we converted to a full canopy Pleasure-Race Boat ( stereo/AC and 4 seats), it would top `150+, but the best we could do in a mile at LOTO was 139.

Then in the fall of 2010, we changed the Merc Motors out to the new 1200, preparing for KW, the testing speeds were improved again. It was aquired, before KW, and has a new home in Trinidad, on the OS racing circuit

The 2011 LOTO was a wonderful event, and the performance of this OL-43 was outstanding. It will soon be time to start snowmobiling

Thanks for the kind words Doc! You had a great running Fountain! It's tough to beat Mike or Reggie when it comes to vee bottoms. The speeds are very similar between our 43 and your old 42. Running a vee fast, as you said, takes alot of skill compared to a cat at similar speeds.
