Addressing a few of your concerns:

Mike A.'s ZRC is the old JBS race boat rebuilt by Nor-Tech better than new and is one beautiful piece!

The difference between the newer 4 step ZRC's and the 2 step models is very minimal! The 700 NXT 4 steps have seen 115-118. As you can see below, my two step with 700 Potter's runs right there with them! I have been in both bottoms and there is no real world difference in speed or handling.

As for saltwater, if the boat is well cared for, flushed out and stored properly, there is no problem or detriment to buying one. My boat (2003) has spent its whole life as a saltwater boat and I just got a complement this weekend from a guy who thought it was brand new.

Im curious as if any have a cabin?

I dont know for a fact but in sit down boats, the only ones with cabins in a Vee is just a couple of the GTX's.

But I could be wrong

the bear 09-07-2011 09:59 AM

now the questions is, has anyone ever taken a sit down and finished the area below the deck for a half cabin? Is it even possible?

The Skater 399 Vee that I ran in the Shootout has a cabin. It's not super plush, but has facing bench seats and a pretty good sized bed in the front. Sorry, don't have any pics.

I forgot about the skater vee. I saw your rig coming up 55 north of Cape Girardeau, MO Friday morning before the shootout, damn it looked good!

Half the point of this is I do not want a cabin. I have a condo. I want the extra speed that not hauling around a mini condo will give me.

Very good looking boat. I will keep in in mind as soon as I get all my ducks in a row and start flying around and checking these boats out in person.

I like the 87 octane that the 525's runs.
