Just found my way in guys,
Lot of trash talk in the beginning on this what was up with that?? some folks must have some identity issues missed page 4 thru 12 ...(actually skipped)......... total waste of time (Que to the moderator for a clean up, just dump that crap) Just to bring everyone up to speed while H2's are very cool in thier own right they are not 4X4, nor are they 2500! They are 1/2 ton AWD SUV's & SUT's on a 2500 3/4 ton frame with light duty 3/4 ton axels I see a lot of talk here about the 4L80E transmissions and HD transfer-cases and that is NOT what is supplied in the H2 The 2003-2006 H2 is powered by the low power 300 HP LQ4 6.0L with a 1500 1/2 ton 4L60E transmission and the transfer-case is common to the 1500 Tahoe (and sometimes Suburban) 1/2 ton, RPO code NR4. IT IS NOT A TRUE 4X4 and IT IS NOT A FULL 2500 RUNNING GEAR Decisions decisions.... there are 3 different versions of DuraBurb H2 units. All Duty= AWD OEM differentials retained 9.25" open front/ 9.5" user locked rear (ideal for every day driving) Medium Duty= Silverado/Sierra full locking 9.25 front differential / OEM 9.5" user locked rear (auto locked in 4X4 mode) (best for off-roading) Heavy Duty=Silverado/Sierra full locking 9.25 front differential / OEM 11.5" G80 auto locker rear (necessary for power levels 500-700HP) Hope this clears some stuff up for folks MPG My uncle says the 2 most commonly lied about truths among men are sex and gas mileage :) Truth be known our clients see 14-15 MPG in town and 19-20 highway with a 12K load (not possible with the H2) we see 12 MPG@70 MPH Just a FYI from the horses mouth http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW6yv...2&feature=plcp Sorry Ryan didn't mean to hijack your thread Power on Brother Eric Swanson DuraBurb Service Dept |
Eric,
What is the cost on a h2 daily driver configuration? |
thought they said earlier around 15k???
|
The build cost for each version is 7500/9000/10500 respectivly plus donor
That puts them turn key around 17-20K with a 90-110K mi donor diesel, remember we are talking about Duramax drive trains that routinely run well over 3-400Kmi, (212 on mine), As for cost effective value a Duramax H2 is 45K if built right so the nice thing about this set up is it won't cost more then its actually worth. I want to put a Duramax SET in one of these super boats I'm seeing on this forum:evilb: Lot of nautical eye candy around here for sure!! |
