wow why don't you post the other 100 p1 vids where there racing in HUGH SEA'S and who was out front ol. and in that race there was more than one OL racing. about the apache 47s two owners traded two of the 47s in to OL for ols. and one of them was running in a PR on the cape in 3 to 5s and got spanked by gerrys 46 skater. he played with him that day. I'll look for some of the p1 vids with rought water from 3years ago. water was hugh.:coolcowboy:

Oh give me a break....."Nothing will ever be as big as the apache water because the water in the 80s was bigger" commache with all due respect, give it a rest. That p1 water is as big as the apache "5-6"....esp end of that video....big for that boat...my god, this is the crap that gets on my nerves...

And the ol spun out because of the driver...as is always the case. The boat if you let off too quickly...it'll shift the center of gravity, this forcing weight off the rear step section, causing the bow to dip and the spin to occur....
Its a stepped boat, if you know how to turn em...they're fine...they still won that race I believe....after the spins... |

I shouldn't say always is the case (driver error), but with most stepped bottoms this is true, you power out situation but sometimes that isn't possible coming around a turn, small corrections, never huge turns, it's like driving a cat, very similar...
I've turned them at 125+...you can do it, you just have to have experience and feel the boat :) Glad to answer your question! ...if you don't like what the boats race in now, take it up with your race sanctioning body...it has nothing to do with the boats.....I believe Geico posted something like this awhile ago to shut people up about offshore shredding...and the fact the water is just as big, it's also a safety concern...we don't want anyone dying in this sport... |
