great boat only draw back is the wrap around seat for passenger side

Our 16 had the wrap around seat and it is terrible for riding in at speed My advice get one with a standard passenger side seat

It’s not a Donzi but Hornet Marine is making the 16 or at least a very very close copy with updated interior and you can get it made to your preferences. Worth checking out http://www.hornetmarine.com/pages/welcome.asp

Take a sweet 16 to a poker run and dock it next to a few million dollar boats and watch all the people on the dock check out the Donzi.

There is just something about a Donzi classic... period.

I have a 1995 sweet 16 with the 4.3 and OMC drive on it and runs 40mph all day in 2 foot chop . Just an awesome little boat . I use it more than my 38 Cig flat deck.

If you don't pick up your buddie's 16, look at the 18 2+3's. That extra 2' makes a nice difference in the cockpit. Great run about boats. If I lived on the water somewhere I would love to have another 18.

There's only one Donzi 16, though others may imitate they will always be just that, an imitation...

I do prefer the later, 2 & 2 seating when running, but for just hanging out the wrap around is more roomy IMO.

I have an 18 Donzi but have been in a number of 16's. They are just FUN boats. You don't have to worry much about them and they perform well. The only thing I don't like about them is that if you are in wind swell or anything like that they tend to put the nose under when off plane. Once I filled mine up to the bottom of the seats! If you are on plane and running it is amazing what they can go over. People do love them that is for sure.
