pendulum or not, I took my old Marinette aft cabin in water you would never hit in a houseboat. The ac cranked just fine on a 100 degree day. I don't know why a similarly rigged Carver would be much different.
LOL, hell no, not in offshore water. I meant for small inland lakes a houseboat or cruiser would be a better choice IMO. The boat in question is on a small inland lake.

Ok, so we are not really worried about the pendalum thing. Lol

I fully agree with the alum comment as well as utility on SMALL inland lakes. I have owned two alum boats (got one now). They have their own circumstances but no rot or blister. They are also fast. I can plane my 60' Roamer with 2 12cyl dd's. I am pretty sure you could not plane the same size Hatt wide body with the same power.

Still gets pretty rough on our lake. If its not the wind its the traffic. Can't anchor anywhere without some ski boat making a designated ski area 50 feet off the bow.
