They wont work with the 4+ foot bustle? 
I completely agree with you, but I'm sure there are pletely of people out there that would rather have new factory Merc 700's for daily use... although that's an odd package for a race style canopy boat, usually 700 buyers are pleasure boat buyers. At this point if they are going to put 'mild' merc power in it, they might as well lop the top too (IMO).
Regardless, I still love this boat!
