Default will speed wax keep barnicles from attaching themselves to you boat

here in colombia there is a company that runs tourists to the island everyday in a 45 foot launcha which is a center side console open boat with bench seats that holds 45 people, he doesn't have bottom paint only the original gel coat and he leaves his two boats in the water all the time. he said he has a kid that washes the bottom while its in the water every couple of days. i have never seen the kid do it, and am wondering what kind of rag or brush or sponge he is using on the hull, cuz i saw no scratches and it looks like new... any idea on what would be good for this? thx, rm

You answered your own question. A good quality speedwax will make the boat so fast that any gunk attempting to adhere to the hull will be hydroblasted off by sheer speed alone if you use the boat regularly.

Provided you use the correct speedwax. If barnicles start to grow, you need to apply a second coat of speedwax so you can go faster. You must reach at least 88 mph for the dilithium crystals in the speedwax to activate full flux capacity,
