GPS SPEEDOMETER!

Hey Yahoo,
Our good friends at Livorsi Marine supplied all of the RUGGED
Gaffrig gauges. The speedometer that you are questioning is
a new high tech unit that gets it's info from a GPS reciever on
the deck. No pitot tube or water pressure hose needed.
Sounds like you have been out of the loop! :D

yahoo 06-26-2002 09:08 PM

since im out of the loop, you might want to purchase the tachs that you really need. The ones that dont really start measuring RPM till 4 or 5k RPM.

Just a thought since we dont race at 2k.

Sorry about the speedo, do you have a slave on the driver side ?

Curtis

yahoo 06-26-2002 09:10 PM

also as a side note, the drive indicators need to be in the middle of the dash at the very top. These are very important for the throttleman. He should not have to look down and to the left to see where his drives and tabs are.

PP RACE 06-26-2002 09:15 PM

OH S**T

Someone better get the popcorn and brew!!

THIS ONE'S GOING TO GET INTERESTING!!

Goodfella 06-26-2002 09:44 PM

Hey Yahoo,
To each there own, Everybody has different ideas some good some bad. Grant decided to lay out the dash his way. When you build another one you can lay it out in the fashion you like. :D

yahoo 06-27-2002 05:34 AM

good point, good luck with the new boat.

With the sparco seats, you may want to put a layer of super dense foam between the seats and the boat. It will help with the vibration, and big bumps.

Goodfella 06-27-2002 10:55 PM

Hey Yahoo!
Thanks for the propeller offer! I will let the powers at be know
about them. If you have any other things that might be of interest to us don't hesitate to let us know!:D We are also having a OSO VIP stop by tommorrow to check out this bad ride.

Goodfella 07-01-2002 07:58 AM

Jeffery stopped by Friday, his buddy Nort was nowhere to be
found. Heard he had a crazy night in So Flo! Second engine
was dynoed yesterday. both will be installed pretty soon. Grant
should have tabs installed for some more picts!

TYPHOON 07-01-2002 09:13 AM

Great job guys!I'm looking forward to seeing you.

Goodfella 07-02-2002 08:05 AM

Grant is on his 18th 10 hour day straight!
Zero Drag crash boxes showed up yesterday, headers today.
Looks like Ken's Super Cat engine fits just right in the bilge.
The great guy's at Motion were putting some finishing touches
on the canopy lid and windshield.

Goodfella 07-02-2002 07:18 PM

HEY TOO OLD!
SEE YA IN SAVANNAH! :D

Goodfella 07-02-2002 07:20 PM

No headers today, C.M.I. is dropping the ball:(

Goodfella 07-02-2002 07:38 PM

Hey CAT!
You crack me up! LOL! I'll get Ken from Fluke Performance to sit
down with you sometime and fill you in on all of his induction
secrets.
:D

Goody76 07-02-2002 07:53 PM

Hey yahoo, alot of bold statements for someone selling it all and getting out of supercatLITE! I know it was a tragedy at Corpus Christi but if you love the sport you continue on. What are your intentions now, to us it sounds like you should be rigging this one and in the hot seat.

Goodfella- best of luck with the boat, some of us dreaming that we could be in a motion 40 let alone nit picking someones hard work and time.

vonwolske 07-02-2002 08:04 PM

You need a lot bigger engines, there is too much wasted space in e engine hold.

Goodfella 07-02-2002 08:33 PM

Hey Goody76!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
vonwolske, I think you need to take a look at APBA's
rule book and see that we are only allowed a certian
size engine and induction system in Super Cat class.
Also the engines will look alot BIGGER once we install the C.M.I. exhaust system if we ever get it.

RWMARINE 07-03-2002 05:29 AM

Goodfella 07-03-2002 08:14 AM

Hey Rob,Bat,Too Old.
Thanks for all the support but as of right now I think J.E.M. Motorsports
is staying at Doller for the weekend :( C.M.I. dropped the ball and didn't get our headers to us on time. Eliminator219, Too Old is our threadmaster for this project. The man behind the rigging and set up is Grant Bruggerman and the engine builder is Ken Fluke@Fluke Performance. The owners of this BAD RIDE are Jay and Bob Muller.

vonwolske 07-03-2002 08:03 PM

Goodfella, I am just jerking your chain. I am aware of the motor size limitations.

Lots of room would be nice to fill it with more mega power.

Goodfella 07-04-2002 10:04 AM

Hey Von,
NO SWEAT! :D

BEAKBOY 07-07-2002 11:07 PM

timucin 07-13-2002 07:39 PM

I ve never seen /heard /dreamed such a rig job!!!
if this boat was mine I would watch these detailed work and drink Jack instead of driving it.

-just to get some idea : is this job done by owner as hobby or are companies doing this much detailed work to customers?

how long does it take to finish this job?
how much does this rigging costs?if its done by a rig shop?(parts+labor?)

WAOV-WAOV-WAOV!!!!!!

BODYSHOT1 07-13-2002 08:04 PM

Rigging Pro

Hey timucin,
The gentlemen that is doing this fine work is
GRANT BRUGGERMAN .
He is a stickler for detail. Both owners of the boat
Jay & Bob Muller wanted the best job for the best
price. I think they made a very wise choice in choosing
Grant. I will post the actual amount of man hours it took
and an amount that Grant charged. Grant thanks you for
the positive feedback on his work. :D

yahoo 07-15-2002 06:41 PM

Curious, why did you go with the pipes out the top ?

Philip 07-15-2002 10:47 PM

BODYSHOT1,
Hi Marty, I bet you are still in awe, Do you and RonP realize you guys, and a few State Police just went for a pleasure ride that duplicated a record setting run? What a blast. And as Ronp said, most people can only go this fast in a plane. When you tell people you went 190 or 195 in a offshore boat the answer is yea sure, do you want to buy a bridge? But I saw your smiles, they were unforgettable. Great to see you.
Philip

Goodfella 07-15-2002 10:55 PM

Hey Curtis,
Save on wieght of tailpipes and these headers sound awesome.
Also keeps the engine room less cluttered.

BODYSHOT1 07-15-2002 11:02 PM

Phillip,

Great to see you as well...and you're right..it was awesome!!..and something I'll never forget!!

Take care...

Marty
