i agree ,it does sound strange that 2 boats forsale at the same time would have the exact power, but it is posible, you have a nice looking boat, and im sure it runs as good as it looks.have fun and be safe.

or

both owners of 2 different boats were both lied to from their engine shop that their motors were both something that they werent and both told the broker what they were led to believe was the real specs on their motors? so both engine shops made up the same exact lie?

explain that to me

when i sea trialed the boat, the person that came with me (because the previous owner was no where to be found), claimed they were the mechanic of the boat. when asked where the motor was built they told me that they had installed the motor in the boat but didnt kno where it was built.
In your defense. Coty's reputation is far from clean.

Most of the time i am boating with my girlfriend and our 2 kids so we just cruise around but when i am out without them the motor is at 4K and will be run flat out sometimes. The fun run we did in the hudson river in NY in Oct I held it WOT for 5-6 mins and oil temp, oil psi, water temp was perfect and drive oil drianed out clean after the run.
This is my primary boat, poker run boat, fun run boat, go out and have a good day on the water boat, and go out and kill single engine boats boat....
It really is a great boat for what it is and most people on my boat will say it handles the chop well.
Do you ever use the cuddy? It looks small and so does the cockpit. I'm trying to get someone to talk me out of buying the one locally and sorry instigator for the thread high-jack I'll quit. Just the fast big single excaliber sounds like so much fun

The cabin in theses boats are not bad. Mine is gutted but I have carpet thru out it so the kids can go down and hang out still.
The cockpit is small. I put bolster seats in mine and makes it tough to get between them since it is only a 6ft beam boat. There is times I wish I had a little more room but what ever.

With all of the good parts you have listed, a very good assembly, good dyno tune (jetting/timing) and that number is very possible. Given the high CR, my doubt is removed.
Word of caution. Best you periodically do a plug check on all cylinders and run the very best fuel you can get.

Good looking Fountain. I really do like the old school race fairing over the windshields. Safe and happy boating in 2012.

beer commercial? haha ill drink to that.

i also like the old windshield over the new although it looks like crap if you dont paint it white. classic design that will never go out of style.

i always buy 93 sometimes called valvtect on the water. i only use 93 and if on the trailer i will try to get bp or sunoco. i usually use marine stabilizer if sitting for more than a month & try to put in fresh gas often.

gave her a bath today b/c you guys were makin me feel bad about it.
