As for my immediate take? I'm couldn't be more baffled by the entire chain of events.

Look for a commentary, as always clearly labeled as such, on Friday.
Looking forwad to it. Thanks Matt.

That's right Tom - they also have two versions, a Lake and an Offshore. I get them both. But YOU got a calendar?!

I JUST asked for this 2 year subscription for Christmas and they probably already paid for it

I am also just getting into Powerboating and I love this website!

I am only 26, so I was only able to afford something on the smaller end. I bought a 2005 Stingray 230SX with a 496 Mag. I am loving it so far!

For those of us who are subscribers, we get something we don't want instead. If I wanted to subscribe to 'Boating' or any other mag, I would have. Bonnier sucks

This has got to be the final nail. At this point, if they were to "resurrect" it yet again, who would actually trust them enough to subscribe or advertise?

Isn't that e-mail outright fraudulent marketing? Maybe even this whole fiasco was a deception to gain subscribers for Boating Magazine. Sounds like class action lawsuit material to me. Personally, like I said earlier, I was gifted a subscription to Powerboat but I still feel bad for the "gifter". I do enjoy Boating mag but it is not what was subscribed to and will be a slap in the face to a lot of boaters every time an issue comes. I'll bet a lot of copies end up right in the trash. At least we didn't get "Wakeboarding" I guess.
