For love and respect for the history of the boat.
That's why I did the 1968 Nova 24 race boat.

Who ever buys it will spend more money than my father did back in 1988.

Here's a question to ask yourself "Why didn't my father keep the boat?"

He kept all 4 motors, the drives, the trailer etc but not the boat.

The boat sold for $40,000 when it sank.
Why do people take old muscle cars from there graves in fields & barns, turn them from complete total rust buckets to pristine better than new condition?

This is my estimate when I look at this boat, and in this economy I am sure there are deals to be found.
25.000 hull
20.000 paint Hull all white
10.000 transom work or other rot or water problem areas
75.000 598 na bbc 700 hp X 3 eng
30.000 for drives theres a lot of ssm out there or even konrads
10.000 transmissions
15.000 exhaust
20.000 parts
20.000 rigging
225.000 total
I know they eng are not sterlings and the paint is not a TOAD, and I am sure you could spend a million on it some people have, I was just looking at a minimum aceptable standard and this is what I came up with, to turn it back to it's firebreathing days of glory I can't even imagine.

That video is unreal. How the hell do drives survive that kind of abuse?

Best air two jumps @1:50-2:00 and two @2:47. They slowed down something must have happened in the cockpit.

I could watch this vid all day.

Might be better off in the long run to have Mark build one. My dream Apache would be a Kevlar/Carbon 50' Shaman with trip Chief 1750TTs and Arnesons.

I don't think you can compare, most true muscle cars will be worth more that you have into them when they are complete.....I have yest to see that happen on a boat restor.

I have always been impressed by the asking price of old Apaches, but what do they really sell for? What would this boat with modern rigging really be worth when it is done? Not asking price, selling price!

Can it be converted to run big twins staggered?
