A 30' Phantom (the pleasure version) with 525 hp will run that fast, do some research. Fact not fiction. I would love to see a new 30' Phantom pleasure version race a 29' OL, both boats with an undoctored 525 Mercury motor; about a three or four mile drag race from a 50-60 mph start.

No problem. The OL is a very nice looking boat, runs great (according to posts thus far) . I think they built a nice product with the 29'.

I agree, It's going to be interesting to see what kind of number the boat ends up topping out at.

Yup! Those speed numbers are sick! My 22' 6" (true length) does low to mid 80s with a 525.

Dont worry guys, hopefully sometime within the next ten or twenty years or so Cigarette will create something new and you will be able to talk about that. With any luck it will be a 29 as well and then you guys can talk up why it runs 15 mph slower (with a stripped 1/2 cabin and the same power), but hey...
