I've never seen this much anticipation over a 29 foot boat. Bet it's going to be a nice piece.

Downtown42 02-07-2012 12:15 PM

Wait till he pulls the "wool over the eyeballs" !!! :lolhit::lolhit:

cha-ching $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I'll guess $175k with a 525. I'll bet it's nice though!

PhantomChaos 02-07-2012 12:24 PM

I think for that kind of money you could buy a hell of a lot more boat .
I also think that the guy's that can afford a big OL boat will buy one of these smaller 29's for there kid or just for show kinda like we see with the cig guy's with matching boat's
just my thought
mike

You are such a riot.

I think the anticipation is there for two reasons:

1. This is the smallest model Outerlimits has ever released, and the only one with a single engine.

2. There aren't a whole lot of truly new go-fast boats being introduced at Miami this year. Lots of center consoles.

Don't kill the messenger, boys. :)

Just curious. But what is the price of a Lavycraft, Sunsation, DCB, Donzi ect. 28'-30 foot boat? Base price for a Formula 292 with 350's is 192390$ and it's 200560$ with 6,2s, no upgraded graphics or extras at all.

It's a 5 seater custom boat and OL usually don't skimp on the cockpit or cabin features and materials. I'd say if 175000 is the price, that's pretty good and if it turns out to be right, one with Ilmor 725/Indy would most likely be around 210000-215000$. I fail to see how that price is way off for a fast, high end custom boat. Just my opinion.

The price is not out of line for a new boat. I think it's just that the used boat market price crash has distorted the new boat market so much that most cannot imagine forking out that kind of coin for a single engine 29 foot boat.

SS930 02-07-2012 02:22 PM

Guys, $175k was just my street price guess, nothing official from OL yet. :)

Skullkrusher 02-07-2012 06:35 PM

For that kind of jack, I would rather sew two of them together end to end. It would look like this:

Not sure of the big unveiling? Good picture in PRA and it looks like all dark blue sides.

noli 02-12-2012 11:02 AM

.

Is this a newly designed hull or a resurrection from their previous Hustler 26 mold with bussels ?

43sv 02-12-2012 08:29 PM

This is a newly designed boat and bottom. This boat will change the playing field for single engine boats. Wait till boat show when full pictures are shown it is like nothing you have ever seen.

jmoore1225 02-12-2012 10:38 PM

Typical ^

rtaylor 02-16-2012 06:58 AM

:bsflag:

This boat will run into the same problem all the big single engine boats have............. physics.

I agree that this boat will be cool but that's a bold statement probably left til after it runs.

As far as problems with 30ft singles not sure what that means. We run 91-92, easy to get around, fuel not so bad, and very nimble. Jut saying(:

Wow!

hotjava66 02-16-2012 05:40 PM

Looked it over today, pretty cool boat, nice lines, a little low profile for me but overall nice rig.

ILMORdude 02-16-2012 05:45 PM

Is this boat sold? Seems to resemble the orange DCB WideBody scheme. Same owner??

Good catch. I remember that boat.

SkiDoc 02-16-2012 05:58 PM

Darn if it doesn't look like the last years DCB M-35. Surely an east coast builder is not copying a lowly west coaster.
Looks fabulous though, would be nice lines for a larger boat as well.

ILMORdude 02-16-2012 06:12 PM

Not saying they "copied" anyones scheme, but it looks as if the owner of that boat built this boat. Hell id rock a booger green SV29 if I could. Great job as always OL
