on a plus note, and not to be a dic here, but most the key board hatred over OL, Cig, Fountain etc.. is coming from a bunch of guys who will never buy either anyway, nor have enfluence on a man smart enough to make enough money, to be able to afford one of these boats new.
I agree 100% with your post.

Default Best Looking Boat Period!!

I sure can't afford an OL but if I could, it would be my choice.

The top dog always draws the most attention. In Craftsmanship terms if you compare to its former competitor "Fountain", OL rules. Just look at the dash design and layout. IMO

I admit I was happy when Reggie spanked Mike in that shootout.....it's VERY difficult to beat a F in all out speed....that being said the OL's are within millimeters in speed but typically have a beautiful outstanding cabin and wild graphics and interiors and since Im a cabin type of guy this really appeals to me.....price point in new there (was) quite a difference however but used that difference gets blurred significantly.....the only knock I have for the OL is they insist on that tubular swim platform (I thought they might have seen the light by now)....I HATE them, totally hot & uncomfortable.....I boat with a guy with an AT and when at the sandbar everyone ends up on or boat....that being said if I was in the market my ultimate boat would be a 37 OL full cabin with 700s (only 37 cause a 42 wouldnt fit in my shop)

Face it . Outer Limits is at or near the top of the food chain accompanied by a few other elite performance boat manufacturers .
Some companies may on occasion produce a one off no expense spared ringer but their general production vessels fall apart quickly under the pounding most OSO members dish out . My next "V" will definitely be an Outer Limits .
I both admire and respect what Mike Fiore and a few others have accomplished in this industry .

Spanked? On Pamlico river? As long as the Fountains can't stay together and a 40'+ boat can run 118-120 mph with Ilmor 725s I'd say OL is top dog..

Just sayin'

OL is at the top of the food chain, you might have some from the flat earth society, that disagrees and love non-stepped hulls ect. OL run speeds size for power Fountain can't beat at the moment. Cig and several other brands that were on their peak years ago, would like to be there again, but that is not how things are. Cig and others ruled years ago, not now. Envy and jealusy can be an ugly thing, and that is the answer to this thread.

The record setting Fountain was a one off super light lay-up boat which should have been destroyed after the run. But it was sold and soon needed a new transom. I personally saw it in the shop getting the new transom. I personally got to inspect the hull up close and see that the outer skin over the core was literally about 1-2 mm thick.

We've campaigned several over the years, but it's not a focus for us at the moment.

As of late, I wish this site verified and mandated that your age is posted as a part of your profile. Other sites do this, and I like it.
