what should i do
i sold a stelling box to a guy in cali, i sent him pics and all nthat stuff, he say its chipped, and needs two seals, note its used, one seal is the one that mounts the box to the transom, the other is a bearing seal which i didnt see it needed.he saw the pics, and agreed now hes nick pickin it i will pay for the seals but why should i have to worry about anything else if he looked at the pics and agreed.then the shipping cost me a xtra 110.00

never got the pics, but if they got slop in the steering then most likely they will need shafts and seals, not to get off course, but when a ext box is mounted like a gimbal they are hard as hell to unstick the glue.

the seal for mounting to the transom must always be replaced, never use it twice,or it will leak.if i baught a used xbox,i would automatically replace all seals, and check the bearing,if it was new, these things would not need to be checked, also, the powder coating on stellings box is not the best, even when new, every one i have ever seen more than 3 years old, even if never seen salt water, has some peeling or flaking.my powdercoater will do a xbox for under 100 dollars.ya just cant make everybody happy, some people will *****,even if you hang them with a new rope
