Here is what I been working on. A set of 4 Nickerson carbs. Oso member Tunnelvision3100 bought these used. Nice older carbs, but had several layers of paint on them. After ALOT of time stripping layers of paint off them, cleaning the heck out of them, restoring all the original linkage/hardware, fresh black paint, new aluminum bowls with large sight glasses, adjustable secondary cam brackets (so you can open/close secondary blades from top side), and full rebuilds, they are ready to go on his new builds.

Your time paid off looks good. How does the rustoleum paint hold up to gas and carb cleaner and such?
MT, what kind of paint did you use on the carb bodies? I'm thinking of painting some carbs up my self. Thanks

I used duplicolor engine enamel on my red/black carbs, and on these black with aluminum bowl carbs. Its held up pretty good. My carbs have had bowls off many times for jet changes, and if you're not careful the paint will chip. I have all new aluminum bowls going on my red carbs. I really like the big sight glasses on them.

The good old days (MT) of painting carbs and rigging motors. My paint has been on there for three years now and dont have any pealing. I have only taken the bowl off once so far. The nice thing with the Rustoleum is that it blends back in if you need to touch up.
