Has anyone gotten a good finish from the duplicolor engine enamel? It would make things allot easier, but I really want the finish of base clear. How would I prep something that is currently polished for paint.

Scuff it down, then use etching primer, follow reg painting rules.

no success with it,,the stuff drys to fast and their is not enough time for it to bond its self into anything..your better off with a spray gun and a good polyurathane paint.

What primer does everyone use, and what's the best chemical to prep it all with? Lastly is there any danger to the gaskets from the solvents.

Yes they are in the hat aimed straight down towards the blower in two rows of 4. They are run by a Motec fuel management system.
