Unless Checkmate builds it for themself, I doubt any would order one that optioned. That guy is going to build a custom boat with one of the elite builders.

This will be a great platform for the 565/XR package. How many NEW 38' + Fountains, Donzi's, or Baja's do you see listed with dealers? This could be a great option for people looking for a new large offshore that dont have the change to build a custom Cig, Nor Tech, OL or even Sunsation for that matter.

Good luck to them.

Can't wait to see the finished product...

I hope there is a decent sized cockpit area. Don't understand why on some of these bigger boats that the cockpit size is the same as a 27 footer !!!

Quite the contrary. The Chief was 10 mph faster than a similarly powered 41' Apache "pleasure" boat with full cabin.

So with a boat that's laid up more than a decade later with newer materials it'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers it makes.

If the boat runs a good number and all works out it should be a great boat!

I'm staying tuned!

I would like to know your thoughts on the Pantera 41 straight bottom with the stepped inserts compared to the other 41 stepped bottoms being built. Who has the most efficient hull.
