Great hull design, beautiful paint work and I'm sure that McLeod will do a great job on the interior... but I'm not so sure that the "common man" could afford this boat... (!) The article states that it will be equipped with a pair of 700SCi's. The last time I checked, a pair of 700/NXT's cost approx. $180,000.00, and that's before you even factor in the price of the rest of the boat! I'm sure it will come into the market priced below some of the more established custom boat builders, but even then, I doubt that middle-class America has a fat enough wallet to be able to afford one!

quite the contrary. The chief was 10 mph faster than a similarly powered 41' apache "pleasure" boat with full cabin.
So with a boat that's laid up more than a decade later with newer materials it'll be interesting to see what kind of numbers it makes.
If the boat runs a good number and all works out it should be a great boat!
