I just talked to Geico(my auto ins.) and they said the trailer would be covered in an accident but not the boat. I just emailed Markel insurance so maybe they will be able to help me out...

I never thought getting insurance for the drive home would be that hard....

Why not hire someone??? By the time you figure insurance, wear and tear on your vehicle, fuel for your truck, and time, its much easier....

Just grab a junk block from the junkyard, or off Craigslist. All they should need is an engine serial number, and stock HP rating.

Create an account on uship.com and put in what your looking to move. I've had guys move my stuff for $1 a mile using that site. Actually had my PP towed from Vegas to Ct and it ended up being .66 cents a mile. I have no idea how he could do it so cheap, but that's his problem.

Call Progressive and see about an agreed value policy for the time being.

Agreed
Just hire someone with cargo insurance .

The difference to your cost of travelling both ways wont be far off what a hauler will charge you, especially after you add the cost of your "special" insurance premium.

A no brainer.
