It usually means Manufacturer statement of origion, meaning it has never been titled.

so if I bought a boat that was MSO would that mean it is new or just that if it has been used, it's never been registered?

I just wonder what the significance of MSO versus New versus Used is?????

The main advantage to buying a mso boat is it qualifies as a new boat. The intrest rate is usually significantly lower than on a used boat. They usually come with the new factory warrenty as the boat has never been registered to anyone. Later Joe

The financing should also be set up as a new boat as well. just keep in mind that it is however old the day you title it.

BE VERY Cautious with an MSO boat. A freind bought one that had a custom engine from a well known builder(at the time). When the engine blew after 10 hours the builder said no dice on warranty. Their warranty did not cover the boat after a certain time regardless of whether it was titled. Of course the dealer never mentioned this and it got very ugly.

All names withheld to protect the innocent(and I suppose the guilty too)
