It is against the law to sit on the bow when the boat is moving! RIP! So sad!

Chris

Just to be clear, the article stated that the girl was sitting "in" a seat in the bow, not on the bow - so they were legal.

Tragic.

She wasn't sitting on the bow, but rather the seat in the boat area (bow rider).

This is a nightmare. My condolences to the family.

Thats the only news ive seen so far but its so sad. Yous see it all the time with people just sitting up front uut one slip of the hrhottle and things can get ugly quick. What sucks is it was a family reunion and for everybody to be there and witness that must of been horrifying. This is very sad

This is a terrible story. Any accident is terrible, but it really hits hard when it is a little one. I couldn't imagine the guilt I would feel if I some how caused the death of a child even if by accident (as in this case). Or the empty feeling if I lost my little girl (10 years old). Sooooooo Sad............... We will keep this family in our thoughts and prayers.

Second everyone else's thoughts on here. Prayers are with that family.
Boating safety is such a priority for me with a four year old and two year old. Comment about children being in the cabin while docking is something I am going to put into place this year. Thanks.
