there the same boat, new owner changed the name to joker powerboats. also the new owner makes a much better boat. better rigging and glass work. I was real close on buying a 28 they were selling. but when the saber came a long and looking brand new. I figured I would save some money.. not sure now though lol. but I it should be perfect by may or june, if not there will be some parts on the market. then by aug it will be back a regular saber and for sale. lol ART

I THINK that "prototype" was the brand of the boat, and Joker is the same boat as a Prototype boat.

But I could be wrong.

My boat would be too "plain-jane" for a lot of people. But, that's what I like. My cabin for example, it's roomy and fine for overnighting (not my really my thing anyway). I can take all the cushions out and literally clean it with a hose.

Some would never consider a sit-down boat. Well, that's what I prefer.

Go shopping and get what you like. It's pretty obvious that opinions vary and you will not get one answer to your ?.

I'm w/you on the "plain jane" look. A big fan of Superboat, they do it right. Other than that, I'll take the Pantera. Lots of nice choices out there though.
