That explains the hours I guess.

Mine has about 230 hours since 2007, and only 10-12 last year due to weather. Figure at least 50-60 hours runtime every year primarily weekends only. I'd consider that light use. Generally speaking, three months a year. Hope to do 100 hours this year.

Not knocking boats at all, just seemed abnormally low hours for a boat that old. Apologize for the sarcastic tone at the end.

A couple people have bought and sold that boat over the past few years. What's your point? It runs like a raped ape.

Maybe you should go back to jerking off reading magazines its obvious you are incapable of open discussion.

Don't get mad when people call out your bs! According you all single engine boats are useless and have torque steer and your TWIN engine 28 apache is king (in your eyes)! You are a complete tool!

Looks like you finally realized nobody is going to buy your 22 year old wavecrusher for the price your asking and decided to keep it, that's the smartest thing I have seen you type.

Out of those two I would pic the AT. Before I bought my Pantera the AT was my other boat on my end short list. They look a little "different" at certain angles because they are wide and very deep for a 25 footer.

550 hp is pretty mild shouldn't require rebuilds or be causing bravos to blow. Of course that depends on how they have been treated. And ignore the "torque steer" comments. Some singles will roll a bit to port, especially at cruise. But at higher speeds most of it goes away, and the AT will have less because of the wider beam. A friend has a 25 Checkmate with 700hp and it rides nice and flat.

I talked to D earlier. I can now claim exclusive rights to bust his balls for even looking at under 28' single engine boats!!!

Gotta hit on a few earlier posts though, lol. #1 all single boats have torque effect (P factor?) Unless it is a duoprop. #2 I mentioned Tex's Apache because after checking one out on Sat I gotta admit it is one cool old school 28 ('cept the graphics. OMG!) And his seems to be well taken care of with little use.

Now we can all carry on with spending D's money on what we think will suit his needs best...

Wrong again. Wife doesn't want to sell and her mom just bought us our own lakehouse so now we need an extra boat for dinner cruises. This boat has been sold twice; people just can't follow thru on their obligation.

No need for personal insults; the differences in the boats on this thread are real, unfortunately there are so many keyboard bullies nobody wants to tell it like it is, but you don't bother me. I enjoy pissing most of you off and don't feel bad about it because of all the free advertising everyone gets from it, including me. So please, by all means, keep calling me a tool so I can get more free advertising. Keep it up and I'll fill up the two pages worth of 28 Apache pics that will make your baja look like a bayliner. Do you even own a boat or is that just the screen name you go buy?

Use a left handed prop. Problem solved.

Just so you don't keep talking about things that you don't know like always I don't own a baja. It's a 1998 27 avanti with twin merc 250's (not a center console). Nothing special but it's paid off, rides awesome and has plenty of speed for me.

That's nice of your wife's mommy to buy you a lakehouse. I figured the way you whine on here you would be one of those spoiled people that has everything handed to them. Good for you!

By the way there are plenty of very nice baja's out there that will put your apache in it's place, so just keep that in mind before you start talking about a brand. Just remember no matter what kind of boat you have, someone will have a nicer one. It's all about having fun on the water whether it be in a bayliner, baja, or TWIN 28apache! For some reason you assume just because you have an apache with TWINS it's better than anything else. Get off your high horse!

I have heard that and may try it some day. But it's so minor that it doesn't really bother me. Just drop the port tab a 1/2" at cruise and she rides nice and flat.

Plus my boat rarely sees cruise.

500 hp on a bravo in a 28, haven't blown it up yet? I must be doing it wrong.

Torque steer, does that mean it's uncontrollable at speed, even w/out hydraulic steering, I must have missed that too.

Flying level w/ no tabs (they're there, just not needed), yep I did get that right.

Maybe a single can work in an under 28.......

The 25 AT is a big 25, deceptively large.
