Thats my question also. Doesnt the stage 3 option have a warranty?, so if i pay 12k for a stage 3 upgrade and it blows up the next day i would be screwed?. Thats just insane, for only 10 mph.

This is what is scary; Along with the tab indicator excuse:

“We weren’t going very fast,” Mr. Makepeace said, as he was being tended to by medical personnel. “We just kind of caught a wave.”

When you seek this much hype performance better match the press clippings.

Different tax bracket bro.
The guys paying for these machines can pony up for repairs or popped motors.
10 mph is a lot !!! Id consider it if I had one.

However, while in pursuit of the race leader, the SNAV OSG boat spun out at the end of the opening lap to drop back into third. Also an outerlimits boat

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...ed-norway.html

This popped up when I googled, Outerlimits boat rolled or spin out....

These are realy agressive stepped raceboats, wich must be handlaed by care !!!!
By proffesional drivers and amateurs.

Very nice and fast boats, but has the search for speed gone on the behalf of safe handling????

This is not any diss of the brand Outerlimits, only what popped up on the google search :-)
God you guys, seriously, this has been reviewed time and time again. This was a race boat, driven by our friend Gincarlo which is a very aggressive driver, search him and his Donzi. Or search the Cig race boat and how many times it spun.

This 29 has nothing to do with that, 2 different boats, 2 different hulls.

No, the stage 3 does not have a powertrain warranty. In the boat world, 10mph for the price and reliability it gives is really something that has never been done before and is very popular.

Again, you don't have any real facts and you just keep posting the same thing. Mike was driving, Mr. Makepeace was passenger. Mike knows what happen, and I've mentioned, as others have. Its simple, they made a speed run, mike was playing with the tabs because of the side wind pushing the boat. He tabbed up, and according to the indicator, they were all the way up when he slowed down a little and made a left turn. The boat leaned out instead of neutral or in which it always does with tabs up. It then caught an edge before Mike could correct, and it pitched both Mike and John out. It then skipped and rolled 180deg after. While the boat was in the water, floating perfectly flat, you could see the port tab down, starboard tab up. This boat, the test boat and the 2nd production boat have made this turn many times.

This is not an excuse, this is what happen. All future boats, along with this boat will have mechanical indicators if tabs are gonna be put on (optional) as in most cases, tabs are not needed on this boat.

Ever heard of side wind? After all, it is Rhode Island, it is the ocean and they do get an occassional wind gust.
