I will try and summarize. I am Danish but am able to understand some Norwegian.
Five injured after boat accident. According to the police three are seriously injured while the 2 other only suffered minor injuries. One person was stuck under the boat and had to be rescued.
The accident boat is supposedly just imported from the USA and equipped with a total of 2500 HP.
The accident happened during Stavanger Poker Run where 2 boats were racing in front. A Nortech 36 with rally driver Petter Solberg was ahead of the accident boat. The accident boat was app. 300 meters behind the Nortech when the accident happened. They were travelling at a speed of app. 100 knots (115 MPH) .
A witness thinks that a wave from another boat was the cause of the accident. The witness says that they heard a loud noise when the Nortech first hit the wave, then another loud noise and the accident happened. Spray was seen 20 meters in the air and the boat turned around and landed upside down. The Nortech immediately turned around to help in the rescue.
At the time of the accident the boat was catching up on the Nortech.
One was stuck under the boat and had to be cut loose with a knife.
All five are now at a hospital.
