Thats my question also. Doesnt the stage 3 option have a warranty?, so if i pay 12k for a stage 3 upgrade and it blows up the next day i would be screwed?. Thats just insane, for only 10 mph.
You seem to be very inquisitive about this particular thread as a new member. What kind of high performance boating experience do you have? |

You know this boat runs on a pad right? At 100mph, cats have very little lift coming from the pressure so it really comes down to aero and wetted surface. MANY, MANY people have ridden in this boat and can each agree how it runs. Some that doubt are the ones that end up complaining on the race course when one of these blows by them and they must be "cheating". Each post you do states the same thing, it can't be done. But it can and it does.
To also be clear, the SV29 plug, as in the prototype, went 94mph and the weight was not the same as production. The production version will run just slightly faster in good conditions. Multiple speeds were posted because it went through many different changes until Mike was happy with it. In between initial concept to final test was nearly 8mph. I can tell you, as I know many of the boat builders, most do not make a plug and test, change, test, change, test. Hell, most don't even put the X dimension in the same spot on 2 boats. This is a different boat and time will show there really is nothing like it. |

WC, do you work for OL?
BTW...I don't work for OL, I've never been in an OL, I don't know Mike, I'll never own an OL (financially related), never been to the factory. My only experience is seeing a few blow by me like I was going backwards. Edit: there isn't a sub 30 footer I'd rather own. |
Wow

Why does somebody who tries to give some good facts here get accused of working for OL? I'm glad some qualified and reputable people have stepped up here and shared some thoughts and facts with us. Sure is refreshing in this swarm of bullsh!t.

Like a line from the movie Basic.."All we got to do is tell the story right. "
And a good attorney will tell you to stick to the story. |

I honestly wondered because he is acting as a spokesman for Outerlimits. "Accused" of working for OL? You make that sound like a bad thing!
Working at OL a bad thing? Hmmm...that'd probably be a bit like working at the Playboy mansion with no chance of ever owning a newer "model" although taking one for a ride would sure be an experience :lolhit: |
OL must be doing something right, 27 pages of back and forth BS trying to knock this SV29. IF YOUR NOT GETTING HATED ON YOUR NOT LEADING THE PACK.
Can't wait to ride in one this summer, I will leave my helmet at the dock...... |
