Everone is fine. I am sure this post will have many storys, but only one tru story. Indicator on tab did not show proper display (new L.E.D. type) Doesnt take much to go over with a fast single engine boat.

i can test to that,,i set my bag on the floor of my donzi and it hit the port tab and burried that tab,my brother inlaw was on the starboard side and when i hit it my sister kissed the water on starboard side and i thought we were going over..i backed off and noticed the problem..

SS930 05-15-2012 06:15 PM

Glad everyone is ok! We don't need any other deaths in boating for a long time. The boat can be fixed or replaced. To bad I know these guys put a lot of time effort and money into this boat.

Unlimited jd 05-15-2012 07:29 PM

Boat doesn't look too bad fri what I could see

It should not be. There are times to bust balls and talk chit, this is not one of them in my opinion. In the grand scheme of things, we are all boaters. :)

Glad to hear that everyone is OK

Unlimited jd 05-15-2012 08:09 PM

Not sure they want to disclose wich one so I'll leave that up to someone over there

Cash Bar 05-15-2012 08:35 PM

It does seem to float high in the water on the flat side. :party-smiley-004:

Glad all are okay. Hate to hear of this type thing.

I'm sure he will be informed, and if not they can pm me, it is not my place to let that information out when we only have sketchy details of what may have happened. Or for the owner to find out here before ol has the opportunity to properly inform them and explain the situation and how they will make it right

What a shame, here is a pic from the news link. Looks to be ok

tomtbone1993 05-15-2012 10:47 PM

"This was the second boat rescue in as many days, as emergency crews were called to an area off Annawamscutt Drive on Monday. There, a canoe had overturned, requiring assistance by the fire department’s rescue boat, Marine-One, to assist"

must of been a step bottom canoe...

glad everyone is OK

Sbarberdds 05-16-2012 05:20 AM

Sounds like it caught a nasty wave according to the driver statement

Unlimited jd 05-16-2012 06:16 AM

Wildman_grafix 05-16-2012 06:25 AM

eddie 05-16-2012 07:22 AM

Glad everyone is safe.

Wild 05-16-2012 08:26 AM

glad they are OK, who was in the boat

Tom A. 05-16-2012 08:41 AM

Glad everyone is OK!

Boats can be fixed.

Let's see if for once we can just be thankful everyone was ok and actually wait for a TRUE explanation of what happened.
