The ram in my Mystique is the same as the old MR or #1 drive, it's about a third smaller in diameter. That might just be the trick as this small ram came factory equipped.
Ask Chris if he's got one in his stash, if not there's one up here at my buds boat bone yard.

Frank, post a pic of the setup so we can see what your options are. You might be able to relocate with dual rams or even move it and use a single longer ram. Can the collar be turned or ground down to clear?
