Too bad that "the other powerboating dentist" isn't around to give you a call! SBarberDDS (aka Darr)no doubt would have you up and running in seconds....

Sorry for your luck, now post some pics of that beast! :thankyouthankyou:

Bummer deal. Always very frustrating when something goes wrong w/ a new ride.

Hopefully the rest of the summer makes up for it.

wrinkleface 05-28-2012 06:51 PM

Raylar 05-28-2012 07:01 PM

Well , you got three good entities behind the boat, it should shake out OK and you'll feel a lot better when it does!
Keep a positive attitude and use a little "sugar" when barking at the responsible parties. they will work harder and smarter for sugar versus vinegar!
Best of Luck, look forward to the better news down the road.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

boatfreak 05-28-2012 07:42 PM

I hate to hear you had trouble on your first weekend out but as Raylar said they are all top notch companies and I'm sure things will get worked out.

WF,

One thing I do if I experience anything out of the ordinary or something I have a question about I either take a pic or video w/ my iPhone then text or e-mail it to the supplier or supporting service center. I have found this to be a pretty good tool that allows those I seek support from to see what I'm seeing experiencing. I realize yesterday was a holiday but just a suggestion going forward.

You have a very nice boat, something you designed & had built to your specs so once you get beyond the few normal gremlins I'm expecting to see some pics & vids of you enjoying your new ride. I had the luxury of seeing a spy photo but still waiting on the unclassified shots!

Best of luck!

boatme 05-29-2012 09:39 AM

always gotta work out the new boat bugs. Take a chill pill and call the entities in the morning :)

Wrinkleface I hope you get it fixed. I'm sure you will, as stated the companies your dealing with are top notch. I met you at the miami boat show with Pete when we all went for a ride on that silver NorTech. You and your wife were awesome people, good times!! Let us know how it all turns out can't wait to see pictures of that bad boy.

Escape Velocity 05-29-2012 09:30 PM

Wrink,

Glad I got to see your new ride on its maiden voyage even as short as it was. I regret not taking a picture to send to you and post here. Beautiful design! Love the dash and seating too. Didn't notice the transom as you turned past me, are you keeping the same "Bum" name as before?

Escape

Wow! Tough crowd up there. Glad you're up and running. What do you think the odds would have been of Fred K showing up if you'd had the same issue with a 700NXT? ;)

ILMORdude 06-03-2012 10:39 PM

How did the weekend go??

BUP 06-03-2012 11:53 PM

Can the problem for the code that was set on the engine be posted as to what it was and what fixed it. I take it these were V-10 Viper motors. Correct? Thanks.

Also Ilmordude what is your relation with Ilmor. just asking. Have met Ian a ton of times and recently Jessica.

I was impressed how informative Jessica is about the whole Ilmor engines packages. Thanks
