hey floridians who's got a concrete pool....
Hey all- putting this ? Here where lots of eyeballs can view before getting sent to the bildge...googled it but prefer to hear from guys who
My crew just finished sandblasting a pool and the owners want "the darkest blue possible" spoke to some suppliers around here and they advise against it as it will fade quite rapidly...also 3-4 week delivery. Painted this pool previously with a rubberized pool paint med blue and I'm looking for some options..quick cuz the owner is also the general contractor that I deal with often and well ya no. What are you guys using and do they offer dark blue? Cheers pat |

Having owned a home with in ground pool in Miami I can tell you no paint is gonna hold up,, you need to go with something like Marctite or similiar.
Do it right or youll be doing it again in a few years. |
I'd say 90-95% of my neighbors have pebble-tec. Paint is like having laminate counter tops these days.

I think I may have read the post wrong.....Nobody paints pools in Florida therefore my answer was based on plastering pools.
I haven't seen a painted pool in 20+ years! They all chalk, cause cloudy water and peel very easily which is why people don't bother doing it anymore. |
Being a boater, I opted for a fiberglass pool. :party-smiley-004:

Tile it. Period.
