I have been on numerous 1000 Island Poker Runs and other PRA events and they do run pace boats.

That said, there was one 1000 Islands Run I was on (05-07 range) where two "will remain nameless" cats decided to race each other back. They ran 150+ through the 45mph zones, had the police boats and eventually helicopter chasing them. Needless to say they were driving way beyond what was safe.

An "open forum smack down". The challenge has been presented. Anyone else going to unzip a measure or shall MG be given the checkered flag now?

If my way was a race team, which they are not. I see him as the ferrari Enzo owner, a pleasure F1 car.....how many of them enzo owners are hitting the race track on thw weekends?

Too each their own!His MO is PR and pleasure events. Drag racing at LOTO, and taking your friends for a dinner cruise at 200 mph

I was there in 05, I am not sure if police boats/helicopter chased anyone, but i know that year, in 05, 2 cats also raced each other and one of them even said they didn't bother to slow down much through the slower areas.

at the end, the one was complaining the other didn't stop at the last card stop so they got back to the docks first, kind of funny for a poker run I thought..

the turbines were impressive and the guys on My Way were very friendly, let me look around in the boat/bilge a bit, I had never seen anything with turbines before.

also, I remember, this run was from Confederation Basin, but after you left there, we made a right then swung through a bay sort of, making a left around the bay, then going from there, My Way started pretty late, and went to the inside of the turn and passed everyone, the acceleation was cool, and that was the 46 Skater, not the Mystic.

No. this was not intended to be a "smack down" just some prodding to the big dogs and some light hearted humor for a Wed. We understand priorities as much as anyone.

KiloKat.......The reason you don't remember the 75k fans is that you were going by them so fast they were a blur. You do remember them from the parade though!

As for the turns...12.5 laps 4 turns a lap.....has it been that long??? then again that bright yellow boat in front of you could throw off anyones counting lol

It seems retirement is treating you well, lets get the Miss G and Nauti Marine (Bud Light) boat back together on the course for old times sake one of these days.

Have a safe summer
