i hate to ruin your evening but see if a magnet sticks to the intake manifold,if it does its not a mag engine..from looking at the rust on the intake made me ask the ?.. if you are going to use it anyway your going to be making a left or right while trying to plane off..

intake has rust on it,mag intake is alunimum, also a round port intake wont work on a mag engine with square port heads,,it would have a huge vacume leak .. edelbrock carb has q-jet or holly bolt patterns..

I guess this one needs to be explained to me

I knew the carb was changed to an Edelbrock carb
The original engine intake is aluminum, this one is cast. Original engine was rated at 330hp. I was told this one was rated at 330 hp at the crank

Many new parts, the following components all have less than 300 hrs of use:
Cylinder heads done by reputable local machine shop
Performance cam & timing gear by same shop
Closed cooling pump
Rebuilt raw water pump
Fuel pump
Heat exchanger
All belts & hoses
Edelbrock carbeuretor
Engine wiring harness w/ 10 pin connector
Ignition coil, distributor cap, plug wires
Platinum plugs
Alternator
Starter
You didn't ruin my evening....things are still going to work out in the end!

as long aas you dont harm anyone then i guess it will work..

a mag is 365 hp and the one you bought is 330 + what ever the old owner did to it..a mag you can rev to 5k a 30 4600 rpm's,a mag has forged internals and 7/16 rods the 330 has cast internals and 3/8 rods..
hope it all works out..

goin to bed see ya!
