I have no illusions that this project may have set backs. Considering this boat hasn't seen water in 8 years, I imagine anything and everything could go wrong. When the trailer finally backs down a ramp and the boat doesn't sink it will be checked off as progress. I enjoy working on boats so its just another day of fun for me with no big investment. Still under 4K and that includes 6 new tires for the trailer!

This week the trailer will get some lovin too. Replace the dried out, cracked bias tires with some 6 ply radials, check out the brakes and flush the fluid. Probably have my son put a new coat of paint on the wheels as long as they are off the trailer. It won't get towed far, but a flat still sucks no matter where you are.

actually oval port intakes work well on rectangle port heads. Its an old speed trick, speeds up the fuel charge velocity and bumps the hp and trq curve down a few hundred rpm. Also i have the original 365 Mags in my Scarab and i thought they were still cast iron intakes. I thought the aluminum intakes didnt show up till the 420?
