I was a member from 2001-03. All of the members were great and it did not matter what boat you, it's about the love of boating!

Stu is no dummy , he sees that CC boats are out selling go fasts by a hug margin and people would love to be able to take their CC on some FPC events and enjoy a slower ride with all the excitement of the parties and friends with a 1/3 fuel bill !!!
Cant wait to sign up for a Poker Run with our CC

That and other "Sport Boats" that you don't have to have a crane to lift off the trailer to launch or an armada of tanker trucks following along the route to feed High Octane Racing Fuel to a bunch of snarling beast.
When I mentioned my restoration the staff perked up and said that I represented a demographic that they wanted to attract...the roots of performance boating that are intimidated by the "Mega Buck Triple Digit" hardware that is associated with FPC.
So here I am...building in the reliability required to run long distances at a decent pace representing a large and enthusiastic group of performance boaters. I think guys like us are at the core of the sport.
In a one on one conversation, Stu told me that the best boat he had was a 39 Nortech deep vee. It would run in the 70's top end and was easy to handle and had a comfortable ride. Stu added that he had been 150~160 in exotic boats and quickly got it out of his system. Stu believes that most performance oriented boaters enjoy an occasional run to the limits of their equipment but by in large enjoy the camaraderie of the sport and sharing it with others with the same passion.
That conversation is what hooked me...without asking...I heard what I needed to hear.
