The 350HP Volvos are a great package in that boat. At cruise speed the diesels are twice as quiet as gas motors and burn less fuel. She'll top out in the high 40s vs low 50s with gas. Parking is a breeze too, rarely ever need the bow thruster.

Yep - Screw 60 mph; how about 70 mph?

So far, there are two 725/Indy boats out there. One in Michigan and one on Lake Cumberland.

Thanks everyone for the input. I didn't know there were any Ilmor boats out there! Interesting.

I agree about running down the channel at 60....It was pretty rough at 50 on a not super busy weekend.
Looking at a 48 Fountain EC with trip Cummins and surface drives also, supposed to run really well, might be the best of both worlds.

Another one in Arizona. I've seen the one at Lake Cumberland and it is an impressive piece.
