Just bought a 272 sr1 , we'll see where the new 383's go now. I will probably sell the Nova soon, need to think about all this now.
Dont really know Formulas. I thought the twin was the "272"?

Interesting to see how this ends up Id likely put the new mills in the nicer Formula.

Curious as to how and why you ended up with this particular hull, but thats a story for another thread- come on 383's

I'm like a stubborn tree in michigan, leaves still hanging on, but by a thread. must. get. some. boat. info. It's winter up here man, we are all trying to live vicariously through you

EDIT: mxfix, if he makes that much power I'll be WAY impressed...though I guess that depends if it's through dyno headers or wet exhaust. Either way, that'll be impressive.

Oh, and speaking of hook, I'm almost positive the 271/272 have one...if your goal is 80, it's gonna be tough...though i believe it's from the inner strakes out I think. With enough power you may be able to get the hull "above" it, but I'm not sure of that.

Formula is pretty well known on the older boats for a very pronounced hook. Real nice boat though.

You are correct, the 272 has a hook as I was discussing with the seller James ( lil red).
I don't think 425 hp aside will get her to 80 mph.

Glass the hook out. A lot of people blue printing the bottoms.
