Do you have the old windshield...
...even if badly damaged?
Amazing how often I have had friends and there have been listings on OSO, where people have taken windshield problems to sign shoppes and had replacements cut and heated to fit the frame/shape.
It is not something "any" sign shoppe can accomplish. It takes one with broader fabrication experience and equipment.
There are better plastics available in today's market that are more easily manipulated to acquire the desired effects. Back "in the day" the plastics often had bad "rippling" at the bend, but the new materials and processes are much better.
I am sure somewhere in your greater area there must be very sophisticated sign shoppes which could tackle this problem successfully.
Likely Wellcraft out sourced their "glass" production and you might be able to discover who the provider was and get a replacement from them.
