33 a/t! Sadly only 4 i/o's have been built, none for sale (mine could be but not that cheap), and never any in that price range.

33 powerplays seem to ride nice in the rough. There in your price range too. Had the chance to ride along side of a few in my boats but never in them. Good buddy just picked one up. I'll get him to chime in.

A good choice ^^^ ... Great riding boat, room would be comparable in the cockpit to your 280... But much longer nose. Not bad on fuel, we did Boyne Thunder which was over 100 miles and burned about a half tank of fuel... Not exactly sure yet bc I haven't filled it back up since. Fit and finish is excellent, look at one if you can find one.

That would be a option. Another I was looking at was donzi an 33avs

I considered a scarab avs with 525's before I bought my current boat. Had never been in one. It sold before I could call on it and work a deal (a blessing!). This spring I had the chance to get in one and boy, what a shallow cockpit! Room in engine bay was nice with lots of space to wrench but I did not care for the interior shallowness 1 bit. Maybe the ride makes up for the awkward feeling, I have no clue.

Where are you located? If your near us your welcome to jump in and experience our boats anytime. Might shed some light on the direction you'll wanna go with your new boat.

The beast of the bunch would be the Donzi 33 ZX. As far as rough water goes it will win hands down, it's much larger than any of the other 33's out there. It's also 9' 3" beam which is bigger than most.

Never been on one but that's a bold statement when you compare it to the PowerPlay. The Donzi has a swim platform, the PP doesn't, not sure where you get the much larger thing from. And this is the first time I've heard of a wide beam boat being better in rough water. Workmanship on the PP is pretty well acknowledged as very high.
