"They are becoming manned water missles that are being navigated by idiots." You said it. There are way too many of them now and the driving is worse all the time.

My wishes for full recovery for the injured.

Whether its a PWC or a boat, you are going to have idiots. There should be mandatory training for operators, just like getting a license for a car or motorcycle. These days all you have to do is plop down the cash and you are on the water. When my boys decided to get a boat, they didn't realize I would be asking them a few questions, including some rules of the road. They at least know what different buoys and markers are for and rules for right of way. it may not save them 100%, but they are less likely to cause the problem. Even the DNR around here are pretty dumb when it comes to kowing the rules of the road on inland waters.
Hopefully there is a speedy recovery for these folks

I broke my pelvis on a jet ski many years ago(did not hit a boat just crashed)and it is extreamly painful, more so than the femur, arm and ribs I have broke in other accidents. You just can't get into any position that is not painful. My advice to anyone recovering is don't think about how bad it hurts today think about how bad it was yesterday and today is just a bit better and tommorow will be just a bit better than that. That is all you have (and pain meds)as it is a slow healing prosses but you get just a bit better each day, there will not be a day you wake up and say" I'm healed" but always think about the small gains each day.She will probably always have pain from this and it will become something she will live with but they are both ok and with us so that is the important part.Wish her a speady recovery and let us know when she is back out on the water.
