Just replace lifter and do 20 min breakin at 1,200 rpm I belive. Either way, no problem. Had a friend who used to do chevy 305 or 307 cam jobs all the time with used cams and used lifters. and did not matter what engine it came out of either. he used 283,307,327,350 cams in all mouse motors. never had a come back either. Go for it.

Got ahold of Johnson HyLift who actually manufactured the lifter and they are going to send me a new metering disc. Talk about awesome customer service right there!
