Look for new speed laws on the Magothy River. This is just the thing these folks (power boat haters) have been looking for to get it done. First they got rid of the Bumper Bash and soon nothing will move on that river over a snails pace after this.

^^^^^^ Especially since the witness has the BAM speed calculator memorized. He can calculate the rpms of the engine just hearing them. Next he will post the prop slip numbers.

"You could really hear the engine, it was going pretty fast,” said Allen Woytowitz, who lives on the watershed.

Really?

You can take that to the bank.

Yup, even though it looks like the bow rider plowed the side of the "speedboat"(as they refer to it in the articles), because it was loud he must have been at fault... I am SPECULATING here, my guess as to what happened the bow rider was pulling a tuber and was probably turning frequently, maybe not paying 100%attention to what was in front........ Maybe looking back at the tuber... Just a guess....

That gets my vote! (speculating also…) I would like to see them outlaw tubing on my local lake. At least the fast boats are traveling a straight and predictable line!!!

based on the impact appearing to be the side of the speed boat i agree with you guys, Again just speculating,

But you know what they say

"Them damn cigar boats"

Well, he is doubly screwed because he has now admitted drinking before the accident and he is a Republican in an all Dem state, they are going to crucify him. And of course one of the Mom/Witnesses said the tubing boat was trying to avoid him but suddenly he just "turned right into them". I have never been able to hit the center of a boat's bow when I turned right into them, guess he has some mad skills...

Ted G 08-23-2012 04:36 PM

Well, he just had a presser and admitted drinking and made the statement "It was said I had a .2% Blood Alcohol Content" :angry-smiley-038:

F him, he deserves whatever he gets.
