Not only from cruisers, but from all boats that were coming from the east end of the course. They should have moved the no wake zone at least 1/2- 3/4 mile further away from end of course.

If you very closely at the pic in the article that Matt attached, you can see the water is not totally flat. Look in front of the driver and beyond to the other shore line.

Today it is no problem for the Shootout. It is in a less congested area and they have addressed the issue and planned accordingly. Captain Ron has done a great job with the takeover process.
