We bought a place there because all the great lots at Truman and Table Rock were taken. HUGE mistake. In the spring, we can actually walk on poop from our dock to Fred And Lewies Bar I think it's called. When we get there it's all pontoon and bass boats full of methheads with machine guns and the pizza..well the pizza SUCKS. We bought a 55' Sea Ray to ski behind, and let me tell you during the week the water in the main channel is UN SKI ABLE because of all the idiots in their 60' Sea Rays pulling tubes. My second weekend there, the coast guard arrested me before I even left my dock just because I had on my Don Johnson pink jacket and then took all the coke on top of that! That **** does NOT happen in Miami which is where me and the step daughter are going to boat and raise a family once I get out. If ANYONE, and I mean ANYONE is considering ever going to that lake for ANY reason, please stop and reconsider. DO NOT GO THERE. There are more than several bars that charge for water and nearly everyone you meet will gladly shank you in the neck just for looking at them crossways. Dangerous Dangerous Dangerous smelly awful messed up place. Please go boat the MO river and be happy and safe. Thank you.
