No, not because its an OL. Because I take care of my stuff. Maintenence the hell out of it and I use the best components available. It's also a #6 boat so that eliminates alot of issues. To be a big inch quadrotor EFI setup, It is extremely dependable. We just change oil and spend alot of money on gas. :-)

But, I have had NO issues since I bought the boat with ANYTHING related to the part OL built.

Ran good all year. Have been fighting a sputtering issue under heavy load (while planing off) in the middle of the throttle sweep. If I give it about 3/4 throttle while planing it is no issue. Since seasons are short in MI I figured I would deal with it. Ran all season just fine. Put about 90 hours on it. Then on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, hit a big rock (water level WAY down) hard enough to shut the motor off. Bent on blade of the prop over, took a chunk out of another blade and dinged up the other two. Bent the prop shaft as well. No way I was done with the season. Heated up the prop And beat it back into shape, somewhat. Surprisingly it runs without a noticeable vibration. Shaft is bent as you can see it wobble when you rotate it. But only have a couple more weeks left. Already had a quick conversation with BBlades about prop (by the way it WAS a labbed bravo 26p prop.) so just need to get lower unit repaired in off season.

How did your boat run all summer? :)

Any breaks or drive issue's?:D

Do you plan on using your boat much more this season?

My dad's boat ran good...had some carb and idling issues, but nothing major, seems too be running fine now.... Didn't use it much at all, actually.:(

Have a great evening and rest of the week OSO...:)

Boat ran good, I put a 598 in it last year. I was concerned about the drive. The drive had been on the boat for 10 years behind a 540. So I contacted Mr Gadgets to do the drive. He was busy at the time with his own engine issues, no big deal I'll do it in the spring. Well Mr Gadgets calls me in the early spring to do it. Now I don't have the money, what's a guy to do. So i've been taking it easy all year till a couple weeks ago, I decided to prop test, found out I have a fuel delivery issue. Didn't hurt any thing, so no big deal. On the way in last time out had a trim tab switch take a poop, and on the way home the trailer lights went out. Already fixed that so all in all a good season.

What are these "outboards" you speak of..?..:D

These "things" that hang off the back of the boat and propel it forward or backward like magic, and never seem to have problems.:D

That set up looks very familiar.

Great start to summer, came to a hold when port engine ate the #6 piston.(Boyne Thunder weekend), spent rest of the summer in dingy, did a bunch of rivers and smaller lakes, had a ball! Boat might be done this week, wife wants to sell big girl and get a 25 to 28 center console to be able to get back to small lakes. Bummer, but ok with it.
